Stian and Elizabeth Danielson, from Gaston's Centennial History of Oregon  (click for larger version)

I would welcome any information or photos that you may have of the Danielson Family.  I also have a few photos that need identification.  My contact info is below.  Feel free to email your comments and questions.

Stian Danielson was born in Norway in 1841 and came to the States in 1867.  He had learned to be a ship's carpenter in Norway and continued to follow that trade in Oregon.  He settled in Coos county.  He purchased one hundred and sixty acres of land on the Coquille river and began its improvement and cultivation.

Mr. Danielson married Miss Elizabeth Thrush, a native of California and a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Trimble) Thrush, who in 1853 came to California across the plains with ox teams.  After a short time the Thrush family moved north to Portland, Oregon.  They spent a few years there in the Willamette Valley, finally settling in Douglas county.

Stian and Elizabeth Danielson had nine children.
